At Carol Saunders Swim School we strive to recruit the best in the business and as the swim school has grown so has our family.

Most of our team have been with us as swimmers themselves and have grown as we have grown and reinforce our core values and ethos of high standards.

Every member of our team is passionate about providing exceptional swimming teaching, their commitment and determination ensures that the swimmers in our care learn through fun, games and progressive practices.

Each individual brings their own unique personality and skill set to the team and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful team of teaching professionals and support team to help us continue to deliver our vision #CSSSFamily

Directors

Carol

Position: Director

Qualifications: BSc (Hons), BTF Tri Coach, STA & ASA Tutor

Carol began her love of swimming from a very early age. Carol swam competitively at County & District levels until taking up swimming teaching. At the age of 18 she gained her Teaching Certificate. Carol is the founder of a number of successful competitive swimming clubs, coaching and developing many swimmers to become National Finalists.

Naiomi

Position: Development Director

Qualifications: BSc (Hons), BTF Tri Coach, STA & ASA Tutor

Naiomi 'assisted' Carol teaching the classes at Sherburn from the age of 7 when the swim school began gained her ASA Level 2 at the age of 18. Naiomi continued to develop her sports career further with her honours degree in Sport & Exercise Science. Naiomi has competed at Regional and National Championships.



Office Staff

Ashleigh

Position: Customer Care Team and Sherburn Manager

Qualifications: STA Level 2 Certificate

Ashleigh joined the swim school at four years old to learn to swim and has always been a water baby with no fear at all when it comes to being in the pool! She then went on to join the Carol Saunders Swim School team as an assistant teacher at the age of 13, and quickly went on to complete her teaching qualifications to allow her to teach her own classes.

Ashleigh is now the manager for our lessons at Sherburn High School. She enjoys watching the children’s confidence grow during their lessons each week and seeing them master new skills.

If you have contacted the office either via telephone or email you will of spoken to Ashleigh as she also works as part of the admin team, working in the office three days a week.

Kate

Position: Marketing Manager

Qualifications: Chartered Institute of Marketing: Advanced Certificate, BA (Hons)

Kate works as our Marketing and Database Manager, and has been bringing her own children to the swim school for a number of years.

Kate is responsible for direct marketing, website, design and execution of marketing campaigns and company promotional materials.

Mount Reception

Stella and Libby

Position: Mount Reception Staff - Libby & Stella

Qualifications:

 Libby and Stella  work on site at The Mount School each Saturday morning to help with all your swimming related enquiries.

Sarah

Position: Nottingham Manager

Qualifications: STA Certificate / NPLQ

Sarah is the Manager and franchise owner for all our swimming lessons in the Nottingham area.

I have been a keen swimmer from a very young age swimming in a club and following my parents footsteps I decided I wanted others to have the same love for swimming as me while making it a fun exercise as well as a learning. There is no better feeling then seeing swimmers grow in confidence in the pool while enjoying it at the same time.

Following my love for swimming and watching my two boys grow in the pool I decided I wanted other children to have the same love for swimming so I gained my teacher swimming and lifeguard qualification. I strive to see the swimmers enjoying there lessons while learning at the same time.

Qualifications: STA Certificate Level 2

I started out my teaching career as a poolside assistant back when I was 14 whilst swimming competitively myself. This lead onto getting my first official teaching qualification at 16 - my STA level 1 and then later my STA level 2 when I turned 18. 

 Swimming has always been a huge part of my life, and so has working with kids. I chose this career as not only is swimming an essential life skill that all children should learn, but also to see the kids progressing and improving is the most rewarding job I can think of.

I have been working at Carol Saunders Swim School for 3 years now and during this time I have gained both my level one and level two swim teaching qualifications. Having a background in competitive swimming and a love for working with children means this job is perfect for me. I find the job very rewarding and I love seeing children having fun while learning such an essential skill. Going to work is always a pleasure and I hope to be teaching here for a long time to come.

I started swimming at a young age and joined my local swim club and thoroughly enjoyed it growing up.

I decided to become a swimming teacher as I’m passionate about everybody having the chance to learn how to swim no matter what your age. It’s such a fun and rewarding job and I see so many different children and adults which makes my job different each week.

I decided to pursue a career as a swimming instructor when I was 16 as I am very passionate about teaching this essential life skill to children and helping them reach their potential through technique and water skill development.

Swimming has been an ambition of mine since I was little. I began lessons at the age of 6 and quickly advanced to competitive swimming, competing in regular competitions which continues today. Therefore, teaching swimming is a great way to share my passion for the water.

I have been a keen swimmer from a very young age, swimming in a club, then taking part in triathlon and now focusing on long distance open water swimming, this led to me helping out at my swimming club before becoming a qualified swim teacher which I have been doing for the past 10 years.

 

I really enjoy sharing my love of swimming with others and seeing the progress they make as well as developing essential life skills

I am passionate about children learning to swim being a keen swimmer all my life from leaving school i trained as a lifeguard and went on to do my teacher swimming qualification with a passion for the swimmers to have as much fun in the pool while learning to swim.
