About My Class

The Carol Saunders Swim School follows the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway and the Swimming Teachers Association (STA) International Learn to Swim Programme (ILSP).

Following these programmes maintains and ensures high levels of quality teaching to attain the awards with emphasis on the quality and efficiency of strokes involving a multi-skilled approach of teaching.

Carol Saunders Swim School lessons are structured to work towards Stages 1-10 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway alongside the Challenge Awards; Bronze, Silver, Gold & Honours.

To demonstrate stroke strength and stamina, Swim England  Distance Awards are also aimed for throughout each term.

Carol Saunders Swim School aims to take the non-swimmer on a journey from the first splash to developing confidence and competence in the water.


Junior Swimming Lessons (Age 3+)

Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway (Stages 1-7) - Our Junior lessons follow Stages 1-7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway, these lessons are full of fun while provide basic aquatic skills,  building water confidence and competence. Distance awards will also be achieved.


Advanced Swimmers

Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway (Stages 8-10) - Once your swimmers has developed the core range of skills in stages 1-7 they are ready to learn a more advanced range of skills, they then have the choice to take part in different aquatic disciplines: Competetive Swimming, Flip ‘n’ Fun (Diving), AquaFun (Synchronised Swimming), Mini-Polo! (Water Polo)

Challenge Awards - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Honours Challenge Awards are integrated into the lessons after Stages 1-7. Distance awards will also be achieved.

As your swimmer develops, they will become aware of how the water moves around them and will be able to choose their own aquatic activity.


Adults

Our Adult lessons are held for beginners, improvers, advanced, fitness, stroke technique and speed development.


One:One

One:One Lessons cater for all ages and all abilities. Coaching sessions are available for sports specific requirements, stroke analysis drills and strength and endurance training.


Once Swimmers have completed their time in the structure of the Carol Saunders Swim School, there are many options to continue your swimming hobby.

The Carol Saunders Swim School can direct you to our  Swimming Squad, we can also offer help and guidance with regards to Open Water Swimming, SCUBA Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo, Triathlon…..the options are endless!
